How do I get appointed with NIA and its carriers?

Go to www.nia.biz Under Agent Tab, Select Prospective Agent download the NIA contract.  Then click on the Agent Contracting Documents and Select the carrier contract you are interested in representing complete and fax or email them to the licensing department.  The number is listed on the Contact Us page.

 

How do I get paid the following day?

You will need to completely fill out a “New Business Transmittal Form” and email or fax it to the New Business Department with a copy of the application your requesting Advance Commissions on. Go to www.nia.biz and Under Agent Tab, Select Existing Agent, log in, and you will find the New Business Transmittal Form.

1) New Business Transmittal - Required to receive daily advances on submission. Required regardless of submitting a paper application, or using the carriers on line process. Located under NIA Express (online form)

2) Certificate of Issue Notification - Required to receive remaining advances once the case is issued, Located under NIA Express (online form)

3)  Lead Order Form, located under NIA Express -Online form.

3) NIA Agent/Manager Policies and Procedures Guidelines (read advance guidelines they always apply)

 

Why do I need to submit a Transmittal and Application?

We key in your commission information off of the “New Business Transmittal” and we evaluate the application for health conditions to verify this client is healthy enough to qualify for a “Submit Advance”.

 

Why do I need a “Certificate of Issue Notification”?

When an application is issued with changes, waiver, ratings or Condition Specific deductibles, we require the agent to contact their client and advise them of the policy being issued with the changes.  The form asks for some basic client information and their phone number as we do spot check and call to verify the agent has followed up and performed their job. This is a great time to ask for referrals and or sell a life or ancillary product. You will find this online form on NIA Express, Select Existing Agent, log in, and you will find the Certificate of Issue Notification, just compete and hit submit.:

 

How do I know that I will/should receive a “Submit Advance”?

Read the NIA Agent/Manager Policies and Procedures Guidelines. It contains exactly what we look for to determine the health risk for an application and the probability of the application being issued.

 

What is the cut off time to submit an application for the next day advance?

The report is ran each day at 10:00 for every application to be paid for a submit or an Issued application. (We do pay issued applications every day as well.)

 

When are the training calls/webinars?

All training calls are displayed on the “Training Calendar” with the login information and phone numbers located under the Training Tab on www.nia.biz. New agents are required to participate in every Monday’s New Agent Training calls for 30 days. Selling webinars are conducted at night with live online sales by Jay Horowitz. Every Friday is our general agent product update and guideline calls.

 

Why is it important to stay on top of my pending business thru Assurant or Golden Rule/United health’s web sites?

It is imperative that every agent watch, participate and provide any outstanding requirements the carrier asks for to get their business issued as quickly as possible.  One for commissions, two for client satisfaction.

 

Why does NIA require all agents to watch all training video’s on each carrier?

We feel an agent cannot simply know all procedures and benefits of a program. You are required to watch the training for changes, benefits and consumer protection. We do not want to advance commissions or do business with an agent who does not know their products and procedures.

Are Commission Statements uploaded online daily? Yes

Renewal Statement for NIA are uploaded on the 25th  of each month.

Renewal Statements for APG are uploaded on the 15th  of each month.

Renewal Statements for the Life carrier database is uploaded on the 20th  of each month.

 

How do I know where to and who to contact for questions and obtain fax numbers for doing business?

Go to www.nia.biz and click on “Contact Us”.

 

How do I set up my “Besthealthquote.net” consumer/agent sales site?

Simply go to either besthealthquote.net and or nia.biz and then click on create your  web site.  We need you to set up your BHQ site so that we can load in your personalized links for quoting and sales with your direct links to the carriers. Go to "NIA Express Registration", this will set you up for all NIA Marketing Tools and programs in one quick process.

 

Is the NBP program advanced?  Yes, Daily!

Why is NIA moving to a Lead Management System?
